In the fall of 2021, Nick Kinkelaar founded Mid-State Farm Insurance, LLC. A life-long resident of rural Effingham, Nick saw a need and began the agency in order to serve the people of central Illinois. Nick knows no stranger. Many of his clients are friends, family and neighbors and those that aren't to start with quickly become so. Nick, his wife, Jenny, and three children live in the Green Creek area of Effingham County. Nick enjoys spending time with his family, often at their cabin, riding horses, and tinkering around outside with some project or another.

Mid-State Farm Insurance is an independent insurance agency focused on selling crop, farm, home, and auto insurance. Being independent means that we work with an unlimited number of insurance carriers and are not tied to any single company. This allows us the flexibility required to find the right solution and coverage for each individuals’ unique needs.

Our goal is to have a dominate presence in the agricultural insurance space throughout central Illinois. We provide value driven solutions by maintaining a high level of product expertise and doing so in a responsive manner. We believe that being transparent in our offerings and educating our customers will yield long term, healthy relationships.
